SD 1560–1601: Oh jeeze! Where did July go? It has been a busy month and a half with our annual trip to Duluth for the 4th and then on to Minneapolis for CONvergence, followed by Pitchfork, followed by a Hey Riddle, Riddle taping, followed by a spur of the moment trip to the Bristol Renaissance Faire for the first time, and now I am a satyr! Exciting!!!!
Of course there was also plenty of time for board games.
Duluth is still a cool city. We went on many, many hikes up to Enger and through Chester Creek. I got to eat Taco John’s. We saw a creepy pet semetery in Chester. There were no survivors.
We finally took Dane up to Gooseberry Falls. We also did an incredible 25 mile bike ride to Jay Cooke State Park and back. I only wanted to die once. ‘Twas neat.
We got to see Father Hennepin and Nat Harvie performing with Alan Sparhawk on the pier at Glensheen. Rocked some karaoke in Katie’s friends lounge. Had brunch at Lucé.
I spent most of the fourth of July sewing the Master’s cloak from Manos: The Hands of Fate as the founding fathers intended.
CONvergence was a hoot. A lot of people recognized my Torgo costume. There were at least two other Masters which was hilarious.
Barrett and I are dangerous when we go out alone.
Pitchfork was fun. Alanis rocked. As did Carly, Jessie Ware, Susan Archives, MUNA, Mannequin Pussy, and more!
You can never have enough Parson’s patio.
I went to see a live show of Hey Riddle, Riddle with John and Lauren. Uncle Santa is truly a beast to be feared. At the show I revealed I’d never been to the Bristol Renaissance Faire.
So of course we had to go do that. I shall never be the same.
