On a romanticism test in my Interpesonal Communication book, I scored a 78. The mean score for males and females together is 60.45 (unrealistic beliefs say wha?).

I was surprised to read that men are generally more romantic than women (more likely to belief in love at first sight and stuff). Though, men are naturally less willing to form intimate friendships with other men and to express love and such. I also learned that there are six kinds of love:
Eros- Beauty and Sexuality
Ludus- Entertainment and Excitement
Storge- Peaceful and Slow
Pragma- Practical and Traditional
Mania- ELation and Depression
Agape- Compassionate and Selfless

I'm mostly erotic and manic… surprise, surprise, eh? To a lesser extent I'm storgic (friendship's important) and agapic (I fall in love immediately with people I'll never see again).

Mania is described as “jealous, possessive, obsessed, emotional, and dependant” and eros is “sexual, exciting, loving, happy, optimistic.” Hmm… I love how things in this book can sometimes describe me so perfectly. Sometimes, however, the general stereotype for women fits me better. Not too shocking either. I'm finding interpersonal communication really interesting.

Moving right along (in search of good times and good news, with good friends we can't lose…)
