I just registered for classes (almost on accident… I didn't realize that clicking “add” on course schedule actually meant I was enrolling). Naturally, my life is ruined because they are not offering Graphic Design I this summer or next fall. Of course ART 2911 is a pre-req for Graphic Design II and III as well as Motion Graphics (I hate you UMD). It also seems ARTH 4901 History of Graphic Design has been cancelled. Joy! Three more years of college for me!

Anywho, this is my schedule currently:
ART 2905 Design Technology
ART 2907 Typography I (With Maria Wainscoat or something, not Phil Choo. Anyone know if the wainscoating has a good sheen?)
ART 3600 Photo II Film (I'll see if this Digduggan fellow is all you people crack him up to be)
ART 3016 2D Design Studio (With Jo ellyn! Score! I love her)
ART 1100 Painting I (Why did no one tell me the Lettenstroms were leaving? Gr. I also doubt my ability as a painter, but it's a basic class, so feh.)

That's 15 credits. I might try and take an Honors Logic course (4 credits, M-F, eek) to fulfill category 2 if possible.

Now the important question: Am I screwing myself over? It probably doesn't matter because I need to catch up. If the logic course doesn't work out I might do an Art History class or something. Or maybe beg someone to teach me GD I. On the bright side, if the logic class doesn't work out (I'll never graduate!) er, I won't have class on Friday, so I can still make weekend trips to Prague and stuff.

Oh wait.

Shit.

(p.s. my research paper for comp is now 17 pages [five of which are just formatting things], and I still lack a thesis or an idea of what I'm trying to say. I heart academics.)
