Here I am, on the ninth floor of the historic Cecil Hotel, built in 1914.

And you know what that means… i'm in a crappy super 8. It's not so bad, but it's not the cleanest either. That really doesn't matter though. The drive down was really fun. It's been so long since I've laughed that much. Brookings was getting progressively less fun. It should be refueled with fun by the time I get back… or else. I want to go to Country Kitchen and laugh so hard that people glare. Heh. Things were funny.

I've now been in the basement of the St. Louis. And rode up to the top and saw a cloud. *cough*

I've now been to a waffle house. (We need to roadtrip to one sometime. Honest.)

I've now seen a giant chicken a.k.a. the world's first Kentucky Fried Chicken. It's in Georgia. I don't recall seeing an KFCs in Kentucky.

I've now been through South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Georgia. That's the route we took. (We didn't technically go inside Nebraska, but I could see the Omaha skyline… so it counts. I'm excited for the drive back.

Behind me, CNN is on the tv. Behind me, outside the window, and to my right is the CNN center, where CNN is filmed and stuff. There's a lot of stuff in that building. Oh, and Ted Turner owns EVERYTHING.

Also behind me outside the window is the Olympic Park. We walked there yesterday after the CNN center. There's an olympic ring fountain thing that we all went into while the water was down thinking we could stand in the middle and not get wet. James though differently and pushed us into the water. It was moist.

Hmm… I wonder if Sonya's lover is still here.

Feh. I've been a few places, spent too much money and food, and stuff. Still waiting for a good, sit-down meal. I'm now munching on goldfish. Oh, an item of note for Maren, I'm typing this on a school laptop. Heh. Whatever works. Yay journalism computers!

I feel dumb. I had round one of debate an hour or so ago. It was.. bleh. I got a bloody nose during the 1AC. I ran out of the room before cross-ex to get toilet paper. This tournament is going to make me feel stupid.

The drive back will hopefully make me feel happy. Seeing people Sunday night / Monday sometime will hopefully make me really happy.

I… will… OVERCOME! ha. I value bananas.
