I'm just in a dumb stupor of happy. Last night was so incredibly good and great and grand… Wow… It's the highpoint of summer so far. There is a world, beyond that of reality and imagination, a world of ABERDEEEN! It was so cool to be at Tessa's house, go to a late night Truck stop and eat and go to a 24 hour Wal-Mart. It was like all the fun things to do in Brookings coated in candy-flavored sex and glorified! Heh… Yeah, it was good. The best part though was the Punk Show. I saw my first punk show! Anarchy in the god fucking UK! *snicker*

Time for a new paragraph I think. Ok, the show. It totally blew away anything we have in Brookings. My mind envisioned there would be more people, but I'm glad there was the amount there was. It was like 5 different bands which I enjoyed pretty much all around. I'm too dense to actually know the names or remember any details besides the experience. The first one was called Texas Jihaad I think. Tom, Tessa's ex, was the singer. That was amusing. When he was singing I started to picture him as a strange bizarro-aberdeen Travis (Maren's ex). It was weird. Their songs were kinda meh, but they did a punk Hokey Pokey. I'm definately pro-that. It was cool, even though with Tom's slurred singing it was hard to tell what body part he was screaming. “put yur aksjdfkhand in, and take your skadigajsdj out, and shake et all ebout…” hehe. The next band was The Dead. Now I can be an official Necropheliac, because I'm in love with the dead. Definately best band of the night. It has nothing to do with the fact that they killed me… nah. In usual Topher fashion, I managed to freak out and screw up the simple act of dying. I didn't walk forward as soon as I should have I think, but oh well. Jeremy ended up killing me by biting my shoulder I think. It was awesome. Also, the Dead shirt Lweslie made is my new prized posession. It's hanging above my bed. “CPK: Construction Paper Killer.” I love that.
A lot of the people just stood and watched the show, but us Brookings kids in a new experience had to get our groove on. There was a mini slow motion Brookings Mosh Pit, the attack Tango, the Conga Death Line, and some random little things like a dance line and random movements. I'm sure I looked like a moron doing it, but it was fun. Oh, and I'm in love with Britney Spears. I want to kick her in the head. hehe.

Apart from the Bands, the people all rocked. I got to see Morocco after almost a year. He has a fro now, and that totally weirds me out. He was also wearing a CPA shirt. He's my hero. (Steph is a pile! :)) We got to meet lots of random Aberdeen kids. Maren and I are hijacking a bus and going to kidnap them all to put in my basement. We got to meet Crazy Mike and learn of his first curfew violation as Timmy the broken condom. He's… crazy. Didn't talk to too many people, but Trevor, Mandy, and Alyssa and people all seem really neat. I wore my Johnny the Homicidal Maniac shirt. A lot of people commented on it. I draw crowds wherever I go…

There were more bands after the Dead. The first one, whose name escapes me, was from Denver, Colorado and their performance style was scary, but awesome. They told everyone to get close and to dance and stuff. The singer and guitarist spent their time crashing through the crowd and starting a mosh pit. The singer fell over a few times. It was neat. I didn't catch much of their music, but the experience was great in itself. The next band was Pine. (i'm sure i've forgotten a band, crap) If their name was Pine, I really liked them. Whoever they were, they rocked. I was sitting down by the wall with people at the time, but it was like meditation almost. During the first or second song they played, I closed my eyes and experienced the music video of my life. It didn't have a happy ending, but it was really great. My command of adjectives and the English Language is apalling.

I don't remember any other bands, but I know there had to have been at least one. The trip was great, and I was so worried it wasn't going to happen. Maren didn't want to bring Alex, but that got worked out. In the end it was Maren, Emma, Alex and I riding in Maren's Buick to oblivioin. Heh, MEAT. Maren, Emma, Alex, Topher. It sucks that Clint couldn't come, I think we would have really liked it. Kelsey not coming was probably for the best. The car situation wouldn't have worked, and where our friendship diverges is Aberdeen it seems. It's all good though.

One great part about the trip was I kind of got to know Kolbrandie and Jeremy a little better. Those are some seriously cool kids. And who can resist Jeremy in spandex? Haha. I think Randie is my new god. I'm going to need to find Phil, Ben, and Adam and punch them. Their music is cool, but without a vocalist, they can't even come close to Aberdeen. Brookings has no scene. Our “battle of the bands,” “strawberry jam,” and “tish fest” are jokes.

Hmmm… Too bad Steph and Tessa didn't come back with us. They're my heroes. Tessa's room rocks hardcore. She burned a SDSU promotional video, hehe. I've been ramblind on forever, so I'll go soon. Just have to say that I really enjoyed my self. Maybe one day I can see the Red Rooster!

P.S. Morocco's CPA shirt had 6 people on it, 4 of the 6 were at the show. If I wasn't a pile it could have been 6/6. That would have been funny. Also, meeting people who read my comic is weird. Sometimes I think I'm the only one that looks at it.
