I have been working on the Happy Wall this afternoon. These are strange days.

In two days I will be in Duluth and on my own again. Alone together with Nicole and Lacey in an 1830s duplex on the servant's side (with a door you can see into the other side's kitchen).

The time for going is right; any longer and I would be settled in to Brookings unwilling to leave. Too caught up in my own self obsessed comfort and sentence fragments. Job hunting sort of excites me because I am more interested now than last summer when I settled for the Register.

The internet is an odd place. I found Andy on MySpace. He went through puberty and moved to Texas. So odd to “find” him after two bizarre years. I'd just been looking at a sketchbook I bought the day I met him in Lincoln. Enough of the past, there is growth and future ahead.

Kompressor has begun to take after her daddy.

Is it child abuse to make your kid an emo kid?

Kompressor is growing up; she just got her license! Her friends Mary, Dash, Kate, and Ashley were kind enough to lend her their car for driving lessons.

I'm so proud of her!

After getting her license, I took Kompressor to the library because everyone seems to hang out at the library these days.

Kompressor loves Little Women. I await my father of the year award.
